Days 3 & 4: Coastal Sanctuaries and the Buddha’s Tooth Journey east to the coastal town of Trincomalee to visit the ancient Girihandu Seya and the powerful Koneswaram Temple. From there, we proceed to the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, Kandy, to pay homage at the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses a sacred tooth of the Buddha.
Day 5: The Sacred Ascent of Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) Prepare for a nocturnal pilgrimage to the summit of Sri Pada, a mountain held sacred by multiple faiths. The ascent is a journey of reflection, culminating in the breathtaking “Ira Sewaya” sunrise, a moment of profound spiritual significance.
Days 6-9: Hill Country, Waterfalls, and Coastal Serenity Descend from the peak to rest in the lush, tea-covered hills of Hatton before traveling to the charming village of Ella, home to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge and serene waterfalls. The pilgrimage continues south to the multi-religious site of Kataragama, visiting the Kiri Vehera and Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya.
